I've been busy raising kids etc.. so it seems I've been missing some things. The Tea Party has had me Googling and checking out youtube. I had no idea in the final days leading up to election day when I think most folks knew Obama was a shoe in, the world around me was going nuts. I had no idea there really is talk of a real 2nd American revolt. I had no idea the militias had flooded the web and youtube in the Sept-Oct time frame. More frightening was that I have apparently missed a lot of talk about secession, encompassing no less than 20 states. I have missed all the marshal law talk, I have missed a lot, or so it seems.

Well you know how youtube is, you go look at one thing, one. Suddenly its click click click click click.... And I have stumbled into the darndest things. Like this one for example, of recent production.

But I was really wow'ed by the shear volume of militia videos, no small number either, no corny fat white guys drinking beer, serious stuff.

Just an example

People are even making movies now, such as this trailer, which is about as accurate as I think it will get and it honestly scared me.

Part 2, 1st day of the 2nd American revolution

Gov. Perry never said "secession" on April 15th, but the implication must have people thinking. I seem to be waking up and having some strange new world revealed to me, in an America I don't recognize anymore. However, no matter my views on life, I am a bit shocked how far all of this goes (it's vast), it's a testament to the times. Seems nearly every state has operating militias, secessionist, collaborates and representatives, etc. While none of it surprised me initially, I was taken when I finally realized posting dates and upload dates of the material I was viewing. This isn't recycled old stuff, it's all brand new for the most part. So if Obama generates a crowd of 1,000,000 protesters (according to WND)in just under 90 days at Tea Parties, then what will a year look like?

I've been more or less aware of some of these things since oh, the Clinton days...
But lately what once seemed like far-fetched, worst-case scenarios are looking more
and more plausible - and yes it does scare me, not so much for myself, but for what kind
of country my kids are going to grow up in.

Maybe I'm off base here, and I do hope I am, but I have uh, lets just say an immense appreciation
for just how badly human beings can treat each other, and a pretty shaky confidence that
such things "can't happen here"

I am probably as hawkish as anyone about individual freedoms, but then at the same time I think
I as much as anyone would wish for all the worlds problems to be resolved peacefully...
I've had lots of conversations with older folks who firmly believe Americans could never sink to
the level of such hell-on-earth situations as, to name a few off top of my head, Bosnia, Darfur,
the French revolution, N Korea, China, the USSR, the holocaust even - but I just can't convince myself
that by some unimaginable virtue we are somehow "better" than any other group of human beings
down through history.  I hope I'm wrong.

This one gave me a particular chill - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUx_ynBiFjs&feature=related

You know, I'm scared by all this, but not because I'm scared of dying -
I'm scared by the thought that if this scenario plays out, this is a battle
that we can't win. Kind of makes thinking about my job, fishing, all the things
that usually occupy my waking moments seem trivial.

I've seen that one recently too. Definitely makes ya think. I suppose if it gets bad enough most would be willing to take the chance. But theres enough mainstream groups now like Hutaree that there if one got determined there would be a place to go.

After takin' a 24 hr rest, Backto - whooee man, don't stir me up like that LOL.

No use worrying myself silly over stuff I can't stop.  Have to take a deep breath now and then
and remind myself all you can do is keep plugging along and deal with stuff when it comes to it...
